"Rene was a genius. If you're insecure, don't enroll in his class.", Prof. Jun Cruz Reyes

I didn't enroll in his class. Partly insecure, partly schedule problem. Bottomline is, I never got to experience learning from this specific genius.

All I can remember is that everytime I see him walking, I smile and he smiles back. He doesn't know me. He probably thinks I'm a loon for smiling at him. But everytime our paths cross, I can't seem to understand why people are afraid of him.

I will never get the chance to know him personally. Even as a professor.

Atleast I will always remember him as one of the professors who genuinely smiled back.

You will be missed sir Rene.
